The Big Power Off 3, which described by its organisers as a 'non partisan' action, aims to create an imbalance in the National Grid this evening as the ten minute blackout is followed by everyone turning their lights and other devices back on. The Soft Power Switch is a passive, hard on/off switch with software feedback and control. Organisers hope to organise a ten minute blackout as people across the UK turn off the lights. People planning to take part in the Big Power Off 3 are being invited to switch off all devices, lights, appliances and other items that use electricity as long as it is safe to do so and won't put people at risk. They intent to repeat the action daily until the Government and energy providers take action over rising bills as the cost of living crisis continues in the UK. Organisers hope that this action - known as the Big Power Off 3 will have an impact on the national grid.
